    USING LICENSED MUSIC ??

Post  eatfutbol on Mon Jul 20, 2009 9:51 pm

    Hey!

Would anyone know if we could use licensed music in our films? I mean, I know there are copyright laws and that kinda thing in the rules. But is there a way we can use licensed music without paying for it as long as we credit them (just for this contest)? Please let me know.

    Licensed Music

    Hi,

Sorry, but to use licensed music you would need permission from the artist. Why not show the artist your film? You'd be surprised how many musicians give budding filmmakers permission to use their music. Otherwise, collaborate with a musician. There are many well-versed in various styles seeking film score work.

    Hope that helps.
